This is your USD News Minute.

Tomorrow is Election Day. If you’re a San Diego County resident, you can turn in mail ballots and vote in person at the Degheri Alumni Center between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

For many, election season can bring feelings of stress and anxiety and USD offers mental health resources for the campus community. In fact, The Princeton Review just named USD as one of 16 universities in the country that have displayed an exceptional commitment to their students' mental health and well-being. USD offers civility-related events to help students practice civil discourse, whether it is election-related or simply navigating conflict in their daily lives. Find upcoming events by heading to the Toreros Together for the Common Good website. Also, be on the lookout for 21 fellow students in a new university role as Civil Discourse Ambassadors, helping fellow students engage in complex issues and enhance civil discourse across political and ideological differences.

The First-Generation Action Team is hosting a series of events to celebrate First-Gen week (Nov. 4th - 8th). USD TRIO Upward Bound will be hosting an alumni panel as the culminating event on Friday, November 8th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in Warren Auditorium.

As always, thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week.
