The University of San Diego is on the semester system. Typically, each fall, classes start after Labor Day and conclude prior to the Christmas holiday. Intersession typically last three weeks, and ranges from just after New Year's Day until the last week of January. The spring semester usually begins the last week of January with finals taking place in mid-May. Summer sessions typically run from the beginning of June through mid-August.
