This is your USD News Minute.
Welcome back, Toreros! The first day of classes for the School of Law was last week. Meanwhile, we are excited for the rest of our student body to return to campus, starting with those who will be moving in this weekend!
USD is celebrating our 75th anniversary this year and we wanted to celebrate by giving back to our community. During move in day, USD students and families are encouraged to participate in a hygiene product donation drive for the Monarch School. Each Learning Living Community will have the opportunity to donate unopened, full-size hygiene products at designated locations on campus. The LLC that donates the most products will win a special edition PadresxUSD belt bag.
The summer break was very productive for many of our Toreros. ArtBuilds, founded by four USD faculty members in 2019, is currently at Burning Man where they unveiled their latest art project that explores the interplay of light and shadow. It’s called Penumbra and it evolves from a skeletal wooden structure by day to a dynamic beacon of light and shadows by night.
As always, thank you for watching, enjoy your summer!
