Pair of Alcalá Awardees Honored During CAS Commencement Ceremony

The 2024 Alcalá Awards were presented to College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) students Janea McCoy (BA) 24’ and Hannah Hintermeister (BA) ’24.

Annually, the Alcalá Award is given to two graduating seniors who “exhibit an exemplary commitment to the mission of USD.” 

USD’s mission is a commitment “to advancing academic excellence, expanding liberal and professional knowledge, creating a diverse and inclusive community and preparing leaders who are dedicated to ethical conduct and compassionate service.”

Today, we recognize two seniors who embody the spirit and action of this mission,” said USD President James T. Harris III, DEd.
