Sixteen USD Entrepreneurs Vie in Inaugural Fowler Business Concept Challenge

The Fowler Business Concept Challenge is sponsored by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Catalyzer at the USD School of BusinessSixteen student entrepreneurial semifinalists will vie for $45,000 in scholarship prizes in the inaugural Fowler Business Concept Challenge on Nov. 15.

Sixteen University of San Diego student entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas in hopes of earning a piece of $45,000 in scholarship prizes as the inaugural Fowler Business Concept Challenge (FBCC) takes place Friday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Theatre.

The FBCC is sponsored by the newly created Entrepreneurship and Innovation Catalyzer at the USD School of Business. The Catalyzer focuses on “Building Entrepreneurs.”™ Its vision is to build lifelong entrepreneurs with the values, knowledge, and attitudes that enable them to create world changing innovations.

The 16 semifinalists who were chosen for today's event did so from an initial pool of 90 registered entrants.

A reception begins at 4 p.m. with a “Taste of San Diego,” featuring a variety of foods that make San Diego one of the world’s most exciting food hubs. From 4:30-5:30 p.m., student entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas, prizes will be awarded and there will be a closing performance by the San Diego Children’s Choir.
