SAN DIEGO (February 5, 2025) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law is seeking alumni volunteers to serve as Class Captains for the 12th annual BIG GIVE—a 36-hour online fundraising campaign—April 9 & 10, 2025.

Do you want to help USD School of Law students in a BIG way? Do you love staying connected with your classmates and rallying BIG support for a BIG cause? If so, we invite you to become a BIG Give Captain!

Being a BIG Give Captain is a fun and meaningful way to reach out to fellow alumni from your graduating class, celebrate their BIG achievements, and strengthen their BIG connection with USD School of Law. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to make a BIG difference by supporting the law school’s efforts to advance academic programming, modernize our facilities, and fund essential scholarships for students.

What Does a BIG Give Captain Do? Captains lend their names as signatories on BIG Give email communications to their graduating classmates. The BIG goal? To inspire BIG support during BIG Give! The Office of Development and Alumni Relations makes it incredibly easy by providing draft email messages Captains can personalize. Even better—the Office will send out emails on your behalf!

Want to team up with a friend? No problem! Multiple alumni can serve as BIG Give Captains for the same graduating class making it a collaborative and rewarding experience for everyone included.

Why Get Involved? Last year, the BIG Give raised over $450,000 for scholarships, academic programs, and so much more. As a Captain, you’ll help ensure that current and future law students have BIG resources needed to succeed by reducing financial barriers. Plus, you’ll reconnect with classmates as you participate in an exciting BIG effort to give back.
