All 17 Torero Teams Achieve Academic Success in Fall 2024
USD student-athletes combine for 3.31 GPA in most recent semester; 78% earn 3.00 GPA or higher.
University of San Diego Athletics posted another strong academic performance during the Fall 2024 semester, with all 17 Torero teams combining to achieve a 3.31 GPA. The 3.31 collective grade point average marks an improvement from the 3.27 GPA the department recorded during the Spring 2024 period.
USD Men's Tennis and Women's Soccer led the way this past fall, notching 3.68 and 3.59 GPAs, respectively, to headline a group of 14 San Diego programs that had a 3.00 or higher. Of the 446 student-athletes in the department's grading cohort, 348 (78%) earned a 3.00 GPA or higher.
"The exceptional academic performance of our student-athletes during the Fall semester highlights what makes the University of San Diego truly special — an opportunity to excel at the highest levels, both on the field and in the classroom," said USD Associate Vice President/Executive Director of Athletics Kimya Massey. "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our students, as well as to our dedicated coaches and staff, who together create a well-rounded and impactful Torero experience."
