At the Edge of it All Podcast: Día de los Muertos - Exploring Cultural Significance and Commercialization

This week, USD is commemorating Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, alongside communities around the world. On the latest episode of "At the Edge of It All," communication professor Antonieta Mercado and her student Georgina Duran join the conversation to explore the cultural significance of this celebration in Latin America and the U.S.
They also delve into Mercado's Latin American Studies course, “Día de Muertos and Community,” where students learn the different dimensions of this tradition and discuss its commercialization by major corporations.
