This is your USD News Minute.

Tomorrow, USD will host California’s Secretary of State, Dr. Shirley Weber, for a special fireside chat on engaging in civil discourse ahead of the election. It’s part of USD’s Toreros Together for the Common Good program, which promotes a respectful and constructive way to discuss public issues and exchange views. The chat will take place in the Mother Hill Reading Room in Copley Library and doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Register at the link below.

Speaking of the elections, celebrate Vote Early Day on October 29th by checking out sandiego.edu/vote to learn more about how to receive your ballot and vote!

Continuing with our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, Copley Library will unveil its most recent art acquisition, “In Blue Time,” followed by a talk with the artist, USD alum and lecturer Tatiana Ortiz-Rubio. That’s this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on the library’s first floor exhibit area. 

In addition, don’t forget to visit the USD News Center to watch the inspiring story of Justin Brooks, professor of practice at the School of Law and founder of the California Innocence Project.
