University of San Diego is a Top 50 Business School for Fifth Year in a Row

The University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business continues its streak as a top 50 business school in the U.S. In the Poets&Quants 2022 Best Undergraduate Business School Rankings, USD ranks #46 securing its position in the top 50 for the fifth year in a row.

Out of 94 universities included in the ranking, four are located in California and USD is the only San Diego university to make the list.

“That USD continues to be a top 50 undergraduate business school is a testament to the high quality academic and extracurricular programs delivered by our dedicated faculty who are not only thought leaders and practitioners, but also mentors to our students.” said Knauss School of Business Dean Timothy Keane. “We’re excited to further enhance the student experience this year when our students begin to take classes and immerse themselves in the brand new Knauss Center for Business Education, a 120,000-square-foot complex that will serve as an innovation and collaboration ecosystem for our business students.” 

For the first time in six years, Poets&Quants slightly adjusted its ranking methodology to accommodate for universities making standardized testing optional during the pandemic or dropping standardized tests altogether. This resulted in standardized test results being weighted less when evaluating admissions standards. Aside from this small change, the methodology continues to weigh its three ranking categories equally: admissions standards, alumni experience and career outcomes. 

Of the best undergraduate business schools in the nation, the Knauss School of Business ranks #52 in admissions standards, #57 in alumni experience and #51 in employment outcomes.
