“[It’s] truly a gift to be seen, to be recognized and to be supported in a desperate time of need, when I needed it financially,” said Thomas Reed ‘21, a PhD graduate in Leadership Studies.

Like Thomas Reed, many students have benefited from the scholarships available thanks to the generous donations of alumni, friends, faculty and staff. The deadline to submit your application is October 19. Visit the Alumni Association's website for more details.

Coming up on October 13th is an exciting conversation on Environmental Justice at USD with President James Harris and Dr. Michel Boudrias. This will take place at 2 p.m. in the Ministry Center with a discussion on the progress we’ve made on becoming the University of Laudato Si and how we plan on putting the encyclical into action.

And, we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by highlighting mathematics professor Dr. Perla Myers and her incredible work in the community. Head over to the NewsCenter to see why Dr. Myers is so committed to helping the next generations achieve their higher education dreams.

Thank you for watching. We’ll see you next week.
