Workday is Coming!

To our USD Community:

We are thrilled to tell you that Workday will go live on July 1, 2021!  Please know that The USD project team, along with our Alchemy partners, have been working tirelessly for over a year to implement this new Finance and Human Resources system and we are incredibly excited to share it with you.  Many of our colleagues who are actively involved in day-to-day Finance and Human Resource activities have already begun training in the new system.  We will continue to roll out training opportunities to the larger campus community in early July; please look for future emails with training information.

Following Go Live on July 1, Workday will now be our system of record primarily for human resources, payroll, benefits, accounting and financial functions at USD.

As of July 1, 2021, the following tools will no longer be used, though historical information will still be accessible:

• Oracle
• Kronos
• Noetix

The following tools will still be used moving forward:

• Banner
• Cayuse
• Concur
• Cognos
• Unimarket
• PageUp/Jobs@USD

We ask that you have patience in the coming weeks and months as we prepare for this huge transition. Three key things to remember about the new Workday system implementation:

1. The new Workday system will be far better than the old system.  Once you begin using the new system and establish your routine, we anticipate that will become very clear very quickly. That being said,
2. Something will go wrong, guaranteed.  We have tested the new Workday system extensively for many months, but inevitably with a system conversion of this size, something will be missed.  After we launch the new Workday system the Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Payroll teams will be ready to work with you, and
3. We will fix it.  We ask for your patience as the team may not be able to solve every issue on the spot, but please know we will resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
