Alumni Spotlight: Mariah Banks

Mariah Banks, graduated from USD in 2016 with a degree in Environmental and Ocean Sciences. After graduating Mariah joined a community-based conservation nonprofit called Nature and Culture International, curating and communicating projects and conservation initiatives, writing and designing communications materials, visiting project sites in South America, and more.
 
Last semester, Mariah told us "after realizing that health inequity is one of the most pressing problems in our world, and one that will only grow as climate change intensifies", she applied for graduate school in global health, public health, and community health, and was accepted into every program she applied to!
 
Mariah will be starting at Boston University in the fdall!
