Student Spotlight: Angela Klemmedson and Grace Cawley

In July 2020, two USD EOSC master's students made history aboard the R/V Sally Ride as being two of ten in California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigation's (CalCOFI) first-ever all-woman science party. Angela Klemmedson, EOSC master's student, led the team as chief scientist on the cruise, which included EOSC master's student and laboratory technician Grace Cawley. An article was co-written by Angela detailing her experience aboard the cruise; we are so proud of our trailblazing women scientists in our department!
