Catholic Resources for a Troubled Time

How are we weathering the pandemic and our sheltering-in-place? For many of us the pandemic has raised feelings of fear, anxiety, sorrow and loss. For some it has inspired new direction and commitments. How do we weather this extraordinary time?

At the University of San Diego we pride ourselves in being “an engaged, contemporary Catholic University.” As such, we know our Catholic Tradition has much to sustain us, to inspire us, to direct us. The Harpst Center for Catholic Thought and Culture invites you to check out our website regularly to access what we are calling “Catholic Resources for a Troubled Time.” The pages will offer reflections from USD faculty, current events and videos, resources on Catholic Social Teaching and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, Pope Francis’ teachings and actions, and local Catholic agencies in need of donations. This eclectic collection reflects the vast diversity of Catholic resources. We hope you will find something to inspire, sustain, or inform you. We hope to update this page often with more current events and offerings.

Now more than ever we need to reach deep within our tradition to remind ourselves of who we are and how we should navigate the very complicated future.
