Celebrating Innovation at Social Enterprise FoodFest

The best way to learn about social enterprise on a college campus is to attend the Social Enterprise Foodfest. There’s free food and everyone leaves with a smile and a full stomach.

On Thursday, Oct. 10 in front of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (the Garden of the Sky), USD’s Center for Peace and Commerce hosted an event featuring food and beverage-focused companies who’ve started their business with an innovative twist.

Whether it’s a business created as a way to cut down on food waste, making healthier food for better living or providing nourishment to those experiencing food insecurity, the aim of the Social Enterprise Foodfest was to celebrate local partners and innovators around food in San Diego and to invite the USD community to the table.
