Summer Renovation Set for UC's First Floor Foyer

The first floor of the Hahn University Center is getting a bright and resourceful renovation later this summer, according to Facilities Management Senior Project Manager Zachary Randel.
In early to mid-August, University of San Diego crews will be installing new carpet, ceiling tile, lighting and furniture to turn the space into an inviting study and collaboration area.
New LED light fixtures will brighten the area and, sustainability speaking, it will reduce electricity consumption.
The space will also gain more comfortable seating and connectivity options that will allow for better group work or individual study.
Randel said that offices near the foyer — such as Student Support Services, Center for Student Success, Commuter Lounge, Center for Health and Wellness Promotion, Outdoor Adventures, Campus Card and the U.S. Bank branch — will remain open during construction.
