Nursing Celebrating 2019 Graduates in Multiple Events Today

The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science will host four different cohort graduation recognition events on the University of San Diego campus today prior to a school wide celebration reception from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of its two buildings and along the Paseo de Colachis.
The festive day will begin at 11 a.m. in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Theatre with an Honors Convocation for those receiving a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. This ceremony runs until 2 p.m.
Those who are graduating with an MSN in Nursing Informatics or the MS in Healthcare Informatics will attend an honors recognition and gift presentation event from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on the Hahn School of Nursing building’s second floor terrace area.
The Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) graduates will have a pinning ceremony and honors reception from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in Founders Chapel, located within Founders Hall.
Graduates earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice or an MSN Nurse Practitioner degree will have an honors recognition and gift presentation event from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Beyster Institute for Nursing Research Courtyard.
Following today’s school-wide Nursing graduates’ reception the annual Graduate Schools Mass takes place at 3:30 p.m. in Founders Chapel. All graduate school graduates are invited to attend Mass.
On May 6 those receiving an MSN Executive Nurse Leader and Clinical Nurse Leader had an honors recognition and gift presentation at USD’s La Gran Terraza. Similarly, on April 30, the MSN Clinical Nurse Specialist recipients were honored with a pinning ceremony in the BINR first floor lobby and then had lunch at La Gran Terraza.
