USD Climbs 2019 U.S. News & World Report List of Best National Universities

U.S. News & World Report today released its 2019 Best Colleges rankings and the University of San Diego ranks 85th among the nation’s top national universities. This is USD’s highest ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Tied with USD are Michigan State University, North Carolina State University, Raleigh and University of California, Riverside. USD maintains its position as the youngest private university included on the U.S. News & World Report list of Best National Universities.

Founded in 2012, USD’s Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering (SMSOE) continues its ascent to becoming one of the top ten undergraduate engineering programs in the nation. Today’s U.S. News & World Report ranks SMSOE #11 among engineering schools without a doctorate program.

2019 U.S. News & World Report undergraduate rankings for the University of San Diego:

• #85 (tie) in National Universities
• #49 (tie) in Best Colleges for Veterans
• #43 (tie) in Best Undergraduate Teaching
• #66 in Best Value Schools
• #87 (tie) in High School Counselor Rankings
• #11 (tie) in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (at schools where doctorate not offered)
• #108 in Business Programs
