Dr. Jeanie Grant Moore Awarded the 2018 Faculty Award for Exceptional Teaching

The College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct Faculty Award for Exceptional Teaching has been awarded to the English Department's Dr. Jeanie Grant Moore, and was presented to her at the College's End of the Semester Party on May 11, 2018.

Dr. Moore has been recognized for her commitment to USD students. Her teaching, in English, in the Writing Program, in the LLCs, and in Gender Studies, is regularly called exceptional by our students. Her efforts to extend learning beyond the classroom, guiding undergraduate research, taking students to the theatre, and developing campus-wide events, demonstrates her devotion to the great traditions of the liberal arts.

Dr. Moore joined the English Department at USD in 2011. She was formerly a Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Osh Kosh. Dr. Moore is a specialist in Renaissance and Early Modern literature, often teaching Shakespeare and British Literature to 1800, among other courses. She has published numerous articles, on Milton, Shakespeare, Chaucer, and others.

The English Department prides itself on the quality of its teaching - we are all so pleased that the Dean and the College of Arts and Sciences has recognized Dr. Moore's contributions. Congratulations Dr. Moore!
