Campus Thermostat Upgrade

Campus Thermostat Upgrade

USD Facilities Management’s Office of Sustainability, in conjunction with the SDG&E PECP program, will be upgrading air conditioning thermostats to Ecobee Smart thermostats in all campus buildings that are not served by our campus Building Automation System.

These thermostats are designed to be user-friendly and deliver increased energy conservation. USD technicians will be able to remotely monitor, analyze and troubleshoot air conditioner performance issues.

This technology will make it easier to maintain a comfortable environment for you on a daily basis, while allowing us to better respond to rare events when SDG&E requests that we reduce our energy demand due to extreme weather.

Installation will take place over the next few weeks with minimal inconvenience to office occupants. Classroom thermostats will be installed when rooms are unoccupied.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping the University of San Diego meet our goals in energy conservation.

Be Blue, Go Green!

Sincerely,
