Tsomo Explores Buddhist Ethics With Fulbright Scholarship
Lekshe Tsomo, associate professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, is the recipient of a multi-country Fulbright grant, "Buddhist Ethics and Society: South Asian Women's Perspectives", for 2009-2010. The grant will provide Tsomo with the opportunity to speak with women of different backgrounds in Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal about how they learn Buddhist ethics, how they interpret Buddhist ethical guidelines, and how they apply them. She will focus specifically on the ethics of reproductive health and end-of-life decision making.
