Barbara Wight will share how Taylor Guitars, a San Diego based company, has evolved into one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium acoustic and electric guitars, while also promoting innovation in manufacturing and eco-responsibility at every level. Headquartered in El Cajon, Taylor Guitars employs over 700 people and currently produces hundreds of guitars per day in its state-of-the-art factory complexes in El Cajon and Tecate, Mexico. The company maintains an active dealer network with Taylor guitars available in over 800 retail locations in North America and international distribution to 60 countries, including a distribution warehouse in the Netherlands. The most recent addition to Taylor Guitars is the acquisition of an ebony mill in Cameroon, Africa.

Speaker Biography
Ms. Wight is Chief Financial Officer of Taylor Guitars, where she directs all financial and legal affairs on behalf of the company. She oversees operations management, multinational manufacturing and international compliance, as the company maintains factory complexes in El Cajon, California and Tecate, Mexico, as well as a distribution center in the Netherlands and an ebony mill in Cameroon.

Prior to joining Taylor Guitars, Ms. Wight served as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer of T-Systems International, Inc., an irrigation solutions manufacturer. There she oversaw the corporation's financial, administrative and legal affairs, and was instrumental in the development and execution of operational strategies and expansion to Europe and Australia. Ms. Wight represents the City of San Diego as a Director of the San Diego County Water Authority and serves as a Director for the World Trade Center San Diego, as well as an Advisor to the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at San Diego State University. She is a member of the CEO Roundtable of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Legislative Committee of NaMM. Ms. Wight holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
