Knighthood was one of the most fascinating products of the Middle Ages. Through stories of war, adventure, and the service of ladies, it has influenced the imagination of centuries. Int his lecture, Dr. Stefan Vander Elst will discuss the origins of knighthood, its development through hundreds of years of history, and the eventual evolution into the code of the gentleman. Vander Elst will also share some recent research in this field that has captured the imagination of so many generations.
