Many of the advances in athletic performance have been fueled by scientific innovations along with a better understanding of metabolism, nutrition and kinesiology. Join USD Chemistry Professor Mitch Malachowski, PhD, to learn about the role science plays in creating new materials that enhance sport, how performance-enhancing drugs have created ethical questions about sport and how artificial body parts change our perception of what it means to be human.
