The Trans-Border Institute is hosting a photography contest for high school and college students titled “Re-Imagining Borders” to stimulate young audiences, develop greater awareness, think creatively, and exchange ideas about the meaning and impact of borders. While the Trans-Border Institute’s work focuses on the U.S.-Mexico border, participants are encouraged to use photography to explore the theme of borders in a variety of forms (physical, psychological, ethnic, cultural, national, or international) and imagine new ways of overcoming barriers. The Best in Show contest winners will have their photographs on display in the Kroc School of Peace Studies Rooms A & B as part of the ReImagining Borders Exhibition.
