Faculty can drop in ANYTIME on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, using Zoom or in-person in Maher Hall 186.

What is ITS Flex Office Hours?

In the spring of 2020 (shortly after the COVID outbreak), the Customer Support Services (CSS Team) began to offer a weekly live/ virtual Office Hour to assist faculty with any questions about their remote/hybrid teaching questions. 
 
Our goal is to provide a friendly and easy to access platform to answer questions about Blackboard, Zoom, Panopto -- the integrated services and platforms for remote instructions at USD.

  • If you need to consult with our team on use of certain applications and best practices
     
Who is available to assist?
 
Our Faculty Support team is in charge of the weekly LiveSupport sessions.  You can expect a mix of our experienced instructional support team to offer you on the spot support or they will triage to the appropriate team.

How is the LIVE Virtual Office Hour structured?

  • We may start the session with a scheduled quick demo of a teaching tool
  • We may start by sharing some tips or frequently asked questions or even a "problem of the week"
  • You may ask questions and the staff will respond
  • Depending on the questions or the concurrent requests, we may go to a breakout room to address the questions more efficiently
