Changemakers in Action

Melanie Grosso, former program coordinator for the Mulvaney Center's Youth Engagement Initiative at Kit Carson Elementary School, shares what working in the Linda Vista community has meant to her.

USD partners with local community partner Urban Corps for the university’s Changemaker Challenge. The challenge allows students to explore a social justice topic and get past any fears of proposing new ideas for addressing big issues.

USD students have an opportunity to be a part of the Mulvaney Immersion Communities for Action and Humility (MICAH) Fellowship Program, which works across the Mexico border to work with organizations concerned with solving social ills.
