Eileen Daspro is the director of the Ahlers Center for International Business and a clinical professor of international business who teaches international business, international comparative management and global strategy. She has twenty years of international work experience as a professor, researcher and manager in Brazil, France, Venezuela and Mexico. She has always been passionate about international business and international education, having earned a Doctorate of Business Administration in international business from Argosy University, as well as masters degrees in language education and Latin American studies.
She is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and has developed and coordinated international business consulting projects with Gruma, Vidanta, La Huerta, Mabe, KidZania and P&G.
Her research interests include international competitiveness, global strategy and NAFTA. Professor Daspro has published papers in The Latin American Business Review, The Journal of Business Ethics, and book chapters on emerging market multinationals in the Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press.
She was twice recognized by the EGADE Business School at Tec de Monterrey in Mexico as the best evaluated professor in the MBA program and five times as an outstanding regional international business chair. At the university, she led efforts to develop innovative, international business programs and concentrations in international entrepreneurship, international logistics and international competitiveness. In 2012, she led the Tec de Monterrey international business team, which was honored with Mexico’s national export prize.
