Cassandra Gomez, MPH, was selected as the Director of Pre-Health Advising Services of the College of Arts and Sciences in August 2012. She is primarily responsible for maintaining a pre-professional program that provides support for students applying to graduate programs in the health sciences. Gomez counsels pre-health students, hosts informational workshops and compiles and analyzes health professional school applicant and matriculant data. She works directly with the dean and the associate deans. Previously, Gomez served as a Student Affairs Officer for the University of California San Francisco Fresno Latino Center for Medical Education and Research. At UCSF Fresno, Gomez coordinated a successful pre-health advising and support program for students at Fresno State University.
