As Articulation Officer, Suzanne Sanders serves as a liaison, working with with other academic institutions, such as community colleges, to develop and oversee transfer articulation agreements that outline curricular requirements and course equivalencies for students who transfer to USD. She also works with colleagues at USD to develop and maintain university-wide course-to-course articulation agreements for the undergraduate Core Curriculum and major requirements for degrees.
Sanders has worked in higher education since 2001, spending 16 years as an English professor at Wilbur Wright College, one of the city colleges of Chicago. In that role, she served on the Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education Communications panel, on the college’s curriculum committee, as English department chair, as college newspaper advisor, and as faculty council president. She also developed the college’s women’s and gender studies program.
