Julie Morgan

Lecturer I

A program manager, design leader, board member, and founder with a diverse background spanning UX design, research, emerging technologies (including GenAI and AR/VR), digital marketing, program management, finance, and product development.

For over a decade, Morgan spearheaded UX tools software research and design at Qualcomm. She established new design systems and conceptualized business tools to enhance customer time-to-market and streamline software development. Before joining Qualcomm, Morgan worked as a senior designer at Digitaria (a JWT/WPP agency), collaborating with brands like Royal Caribbean, CareFusion (now BD), Los Angeles Tourism, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Qualcomm.

Beyond her industry work, Morgan is deeply committed to community service. In 2018, she provided UX mentoring to students in USD’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Catalyzer program. Morgan serves as a domain expert for SDSU’s Zip Launchpad, as a judge in USD’s Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge, and as a board member of the Design Forward Alliance. Additionally, she co-founded Design Spaces, a community group focused on promoting equitable innovation in San Diego and beyond.

Currently, Morgan works as a Principal Experience Strategist at ServiceNow and as a lecturer at the University of San Diego Knauss School of Business. She holds an MBA from USD’s School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
