Frances Laviscount is the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies. As Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, she serves as the key administrator for the school's academic programs, including Master's programs, combined/dual degrees and certificate programs. She oversees the management of academic programs, student recruitment and enrollment, student success, career development and new program design.
Before joining the Kroc School, she was the Deputy Academic Director for Nonprofit Management Programs at Columbia University's School of Professional Studies. She helped launch and manage the Master's in Nonprofit Management. Laviscount also served as an Associate Instructor in the M.S. Nonprofit Management and M.S. Negotiation and Conflict Resolution programs at Columbia University.
Laviscount began her career in the financial services industry as an assistant vice president in the equity research department of U.S. Trust, a wealth management firm for high-network individuals. Her research focused on the leisure and entertainment industries.
Laviscount has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business and a master's degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. She is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. in Leadership Studies Program at the School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego.
