COVID-19 Safety Measures: Face Covering

- USD is not requiring face coverings for students; however, the university continues to support and strongly encourage campus community members to wear face coverings when they feel the need to do so.
- Faculty may require face coverings to be worn in academic settings.
COVID-19 Safety Measures: Vaccination
- The University no longer requires COVID vaccinations but does strongly recommend that our community members stay up to date with the latest vaccination recommendations.
COVID-19 Safety Measures: Student Housing
Residents diagnosed with COVID-19 are permitted stay in their room while recovering from illness. Residential Life will manage temporary alternative housing consideration for impacted roommates on an as-needed basis (i.e. when roommates are immunocompromised or in other wellness related situations).
COVID-19 Safety Measures: Testing
Self COVID tests are available at the bookstore. If you are ill and schedule an appointment at the health center, testing can also be performed during your appointment. For off-campus testing, please visit the county’s website for options.
