School of Law - Juris Doctor (JD)

To qualify for a scholarship, a candidate must be a full-time student. Evening students also qualify for consideration if they have completed one-third or more of the total credit hours required for a degree by the applicant’s law school.

DRI announces its annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program, open to rising (2026–2027) second- and third-year law students. It is focused on students who come from backgrounds that would add to the cause of diversity within the Civil Defense Bar. All rising second- and third-year law students are eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity.

One scholarship in the amount of $10,000 and two scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded. The recipients will be recognized at the DRI Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. in October.

When applicants submit the application, they must include a cover letter identifying their academic, personal, and professional accomplishments and how those accomplishments qualify for the DRI Law Student Diversity Scholarship. 

Applications must also include three (3) recommendations, one each from the following individuals:

• The dean or an associate dean of the student's law school;
• A current or past law professor; and
• An individual who is personally acquainted with the applicant, but who is not related by blood line or adoption. Letters of recommendation may be submitted directly by the applicant

School of Law - Master of Laws (LLM)

The McKelvey Competition is open to any student pursuing study in law, policy, management, or any related field, that impacts technology.  In order to be eligible, candidates must be enrolled in a graduate degree program for at least one term during the 2025-26 academic year.

The first-place essay will be published in the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society (JPTOS) (subject to editorial discretion and review, as explained below) and the author will receive an award and $1,000. The author of the runner-up essay will receive an award and $500.

Candidates shall submit essays for consideration on or before Monday, June 30, 2026, by email to email@AAPJ.us (include “McKelvey Writing Competition” in the subject line). See website for more information.

School of Law - Juris Doctor (JD)

Applicants can tell their story via a written essay, video, or slideshow presentation. Materials requested must be received by midnight CT on June 1, 2026. We encourage honesty and creativity in submissions. Applicants can choose one of these three forms of submission:

• Video – The video must be less than 90 seconds long. A copy of the script must be included.
• If the video presentation option is chosen, please upload to a video hosting site (such as YouTube or Vimeo) and provide the URL in the space provided
• Essay – An essay presentation must be typed, double-spaced, and 750 – 1,000 words
• Slideshow PowerPoint Presentation – Slideshow presentations must be at least 15 slides long

Since 2019, Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law has awarded an annual scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to one student who has been accepted to or is currently enrolled in an ABA- or AALS-accredited law school. This scholarship supports future lawyers inspired to use the legal system to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The accident and injury law office of Terry Bryant is proud to announce the availability of a $2,500 scholarship to be awarded to a student who has been accepted to or is currently enrolled in an ABA- or AALS-accredited law school to obtain their Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

We believe that attorneys can be agents of change and advocates for those who deserve a voice. We’ve centered our practice around this philosophy, and we’re hopeful that tomorrow’s lawyers will continue this mission. The $2,500 law school scholarship will be awarded to a future or current law student pursuing their JD who can effectively and creatively tell us why they strive to become an attorney. We want to know what motivates candidates to practice law and what they plan to accomplish in their careers as attorneys

At least two letters of recommendation that discuss the applicant’s achievements, academic potential, and involvement in their school and community. Letters of recommendation may be written by teachers, academic advisors, employers, coaches, school administrators, family friends, or religious leaders. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Accepted into any law school in the United States for the 2025–2026 academic year, or
• Currently attending any law school in the United States during the 2025–2026 academic year and continuing their studies into 2026–2027

The Lem Garcia Law Scholarship proudly offers a $1,000 award to an aspiring attorney currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in law school for the 2026 academic year. This scholarship is designed to help ease the financial burden of law school, allowing driven and passionate individuals to focus on their pursuit of justice and their goal of making a meaningful impact in the legal profession.

To apply for the $1,000 Lem Garcia Law Scholarship, applicants must submit an essay of 800 words or less explaining:

• Your motivation for pursuing a legal career, and
• Your vision for using your law degree to advocate for justice

Applicants are encouraged to share any personal experiences involving advocacy—whether for themselves or others—and explain how those experiences influenced their commitment to the legal profession.

HKM Employment Attorneys is offering their annual scholarship opportunity for Law Students who are in a paralegal, J.D. or  pre-law program. HKM is a law firm of experienced San Diego employment lawyers in California. The firm seeks to ensure clients within our practice areas receive equal treatment and compensation per federal and local employment laws.

The purpose of the scholarship is to lift future legal professionals who study near their San Diego offices.

The NurseThink®-AACN Scholarship is open to all students who are members of the Graduate Nursing Student Academy. To apply, students must complete an online application, provide demographic information and details on their academic achievement, and submit a short essay outlining their plans to teach after graduation.

The NurseThink® - AACN Scholarship supports students enrolled in master's and doctoral nursing programs at AACN member institutions who have a desire to become future nurse faculty. The fund will provide a  $5,000 scholarship awards to students twice a year through 2026.

AANP scholarships are available to members who are currently enrolled in an accredited graduate school in pursuit of an advanced degree. Applicants must be licensed as a registered nurse, have at least one semester of classes completed and be scheduled to complete an eligible NP program.

AANP empowers you to thrive in your journey towards becoming an NP or career advancement and supports the next generation of NPs with members-only scholarships.

Awardees may receive $2,500 to $5,000 in scholarship funding. Only completed applications will be accepted and reviewed.

• Proof of enrollment in a qualifying degree program may be required for eligibility

ACLS is providing a Scholarship for Healthcare Providers to support students in their studies, help them complete medical school, and get a head start on their career.

ACLS is granting a $1,000 scholarship to the author of the winning essay, and complimentary access to any of our courses for three runner ups. Courses include ACLS, BLS, PALS and monitor technician certification.
