- Dean's Graduate Merit Award - L&T - 2011/2012
Scholarship includes opportunity to collaborate with faculty on variety of research projects

- The Diocesan of San Diego Employee Scholarship
This is an annually renewable grant for students who are full time employees of the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, including parish schools and agencies. The scholarship is based on unit enrollment and is subject to the amount of other academic scholarships. Applicants for the Diocesan of San Diego Employee Scholarship must: be a SOLES student in good standing; and, be an employee who works full-time for the Diocese of San Diego. Applications are due two weeks prior to the start of the term.

- USD/Francis Parker Fellowship
Deadline: March 1, 2011 for the 2011-2012 academic year
The 2011-2012 Francis Parker/University of San Diego Teaching Fellow will receive 12 units of tuition remission scholarship as well as an hourly stipend based on an expected 20 hour work week. More information about Francis Parker Lower School may be found at http://francisparker.org

- Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE)
PRIORITY DEADLINE: September 30, 2011
The APLE Program is a loan forgiveness program designed to encourage
exceptional students to become teachers in subject areas where a critical
teacher shortage has been identified or in designated schools.

External Financial Aid Sources
- California Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Foundation
The North Shores Division (78) of the California Retired Teachers Scholarship Foundation is offering several $1,500 scholarships for students who are juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled in a course of study that will lead to a California teaching credential. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and complete the application. The deadline for submission is February 10, 2012.

Offers teacher scholarships in the amount of $500 four times per year. - ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship
DEADLINE: February 1 - April 1
The ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship is awarded to professionals in the chemistry field pursuing a masters in education or teacher certification to teach high school chemistry. Scholarship recipients receive from $6000 up to full tuition for full-time study and $3000 for part-time enrollment.

Through the Robert G. Porter Scholars Program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education.
