Green, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1976 and then completed an MBA in 1979, is the founding managing director at TripleTree, an independent, research-driven investment banking firm, focused on developing the firm’s advisory and principal investing services.
Green began his professional career when he was tapped to join a new start-up that provided technology support to the healthcare industry. During his 10 years with Cycare, Green held several senior leadership positions and helped to grow Cycare into a very successful company. He left the company to help launch IMS, another healthcare technology organization that he eventually sold to Eli Lilly after going public. His business past also includes work at Westinghouse and Summer Medical.
Green is married to Susie, who is a 1979 biology graduate of USD, and they have three children, including their youngest, Caitlin, who is a USD junior accounting major. Kevin and Susie split time between Edina, Minn., and Fort Myers, Fla.
“Caitlin has been instrumental in ‘reconnecting’ all of us to San Diego and our love of the University of San Diego,” said Kevin, who served as student body president his senior year and was a graduate resident assistant while at USD.
Carson, whose daughter Catherine will be a USD sophomore this fall, is chairman and chief executive officer of Carson Private Capital, a Dallas-based private investment firm that sponsors and manages investment partnerships that provide access to top North American and European and private equity acquisitions in the consumer and energy sectors.
Between 1974 and 1994, Carson (pictured, left) was focused on oil and gas operations and investments. In 1977, Carson founded Carson Petroleum Corporation, a mid-sized independent oil and gas production and operating company. Carson operated the growing company until he sold it to Devon Energy in 1982. Carson later co-founded CPC Dale Petroleum Company, which focused on oil and gas production acquisitions and horizontal drilling operations in Texas and Louisiana. The company was sold in 1994.
Carson lives in Dallas with his wife, Debbie, and their two children.
Carson and Green are also both actively involved beyond their own businesses with multiple appointments on advisory boards and as a trustee for various organizations.
Green and Carson began their USD trustee appointments July 1, 2012.
