Live, Work, and Study in Washington D.C.

Our Washington, D.C. program provides students with a fantastic opportunity to live, work, and study for a semester or a summer in the nation’s capital.

Would you like to work on Capitol Hill? For the State Department? An embassy? The Department of Justice? An interest group or nonprofit organization? A political party? The federal courts or national law enforcement? Internships are available to suit almost any interest.

While in Washington, you will have guaranteed housing close to a Metro stop and within easy commuting distance of downtown.

Washington, D.C. was specifically designed and created to be the nation’s political epicenter, and today it is one of the world’s greatest cities. Our program gives you the opportunity to be a part of it—to find interesting and rewarding work, strengthen your resume, and build a network of contacts that can help you launch your career.

You might catch Potomac Fever and return to work in D.C. after graduation, as so many USD students have done. Or you might use your Washington experience to find work closer to home. Either way, your semester in Washington will be the experience of a lifetime.
