Advance -- and enhance -- your career with USD's MBA program.
The Professional MBA program in the School of Business offers the same broad-based curriculum as the Full-Time MBA, with a focus on globally relevant and socially responsible business fundamentals, and is designed for full-time professionals. This hybrid program provides practical, hands-on experience balanced with business best practices that you can immediately apply in your career.
With more than 40 years of expertise in management education, USD is proud to introduce the first hybrid MBA in the San Diego region. The Professional MBA offers two formats: onsite courses and hybrid courses. Both options may be completed in as little as two years and students may mix and match class formats after the first semester of the program for ultimate flexibility.
- Fall start
- Classes onsite at USD
- Classes meet weekdays at 5:30 and 7 p.m., typically two nights per week
After the first semester, students may mix and match class formats
- Spring start
- Classes online and onsite at USD
- Classes meet on Saturday and Sunday, typically one weekend each month
- F-1 students not eligible
- After the first semester, students may mix and match class formats
The Professional MBA is a cohort-based program, with each cohort moving through the majority of core classes together. The experience begins with a one-week, full-time orientation on campus that includes the first MBA course. Cohorts take many of their core classes together, which maximizes the shared learning experience. A strong sense of community and a personalized learning environment are both highlighted in the cohort experience.
Short-Term Study Abroad
Professional MBA students are welcome to participate in the many short-term study abroad courses and international consulting practicums that are designed specifically to fit into the busy schedules of working professionals. Study abroad trips are usually between 7-14 days in length. Full semester exchange opportunities are also available to Professional MBA students if desired.
