CEPAL Director Elected President
of the California Community Colleges Board
CEPAL Director, Scott Himelstein, has been elected president of the California Community Colleges Board of Governors. The Board oversees the state's 112 community colleges in 72 districts.
Himelstein was appointed to the 17-member board by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008 and was subsequently elected by the Board as its vice president in 2009. He is the only member from the San Diego area.
