The Disasters and Miseries of War - Prints by Francisco Goya and Jacques Callot

The 80 etchings and aquatints of Francisco Goya's Disasters of War and the 18 etchings of Jacques Callot's Miseries of War explore the brutality of war – and its humanity. These prints are part of the university's collection -- a gift of Robert and Karen Hoehn. Tuesdays through Saturdays, noon – 4 p.m. , Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Fine Art Galleries. Free.

“Disguised God” featuring USD President Mary E. Lyons as narrator with faculty Therese Bulat , soprano, and Lars Mellander, baritone; Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor by Max Bruch, featuring Rosanne Amaro '05, violin; and a commissioned work by USD Symphony member Byron Chow. 8 p.m. , Shiley Theatre, Camino Hall. Woody Guthrie's American Song

Songs and Writings by Woody Guthrie, Conceived and Adapted by Peter Glazer, Orchestrations and Vocal Arrangements by Jeff Waxman.                                       
Undergraduates in the USD Theatre Arts Program perform this powerful and inspiring musical view of depression-era America through the eyes, ears and music of singer/songwriter Woody Guthrie. Major Barbara  by George Bernard Shaw

The Old Globe / University of San Diego Graduate Theatre program presents George Bernard Shaw's classic tale of conflicting social and moral ethics. Performance schedule: March 5, 9, 10, 11, 8 p.m. and March 12, 2 p.m. ,

The Grapes of Wrath

Adapted by Frank Galati . John Steinbeck's powerful story of the Joad family's flight from the dust bowl of Oklahoma to California is brought to life by undergraduates in the USD Theatre Arts Program. Monday 4.18.05

Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) Graduate Thesis Project

An original solo performance piece by each student is the MFA program's capstone assignment and often a student's most creative and personal performance event. Each MFA candidate writes, directs, and produces his/her own 20 minute piece. 8 p.m. , Studio Theatre, Sacred Heart Hall. Free
