Transfer Students

Welcome, Transfers!

Wherever you're coming from, we're so glad you chose USD and are joining our community.

We're thrilled you're bringing your unique story to our campus, possibly building on your college journey already. Your Torero experience will be different from what you've seen, heard and done before, so we want to give you the tools to make the most of that experience.

Transfer Student Checklists

First Things First

Before you arrive on campus, there are a few things you need to do. Check out our step-by-step checklist that details everything you have to complete.

Get Familiar

Life as a student at USD is as much about academics as it is community. When Toreros aren't studying, they're getting together with friends who share their interests and passions, exploring the wider world beyond campus or finding the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view.

Mental Health & Wellness

Be Well USD

Dedicated to developing the whole person, Be Well USD seeks to raise awareness and reduce stigma about mental health, enhance help-seeking behavior, provide students with important life skills, and create an environment that promotes the overall health and well-being of students as they strive to reach their personal and academic goals. You are an important and integral part of this campus and this community.

Build Your USD Network

At USD we're committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive community. To that end, we offer many campus resources for you to explore your identity and cultural connections.

Looking for More Support?

We're committed to supporting you holistically, and that's why we provide a comprehensive and integrated range of programs and services for our students.

About the Torero Hub

The Torero Hub is focused on facilitating awareness of and access to USD opportunities, in addition providing you with resources and general support to help you navigate your USD experience. We're here for your non-academic questions related to things like financial aid, paying your bill and registering for classes. Plus, through the Torero Hub, every new undergraduate and transfer student is assigned a Torero Connect Counselor (TCC) while all other students receive guidance from our expert Torero Support Counselor (TSC) team – all dedicated to problem-solving and getting your questions answered.
