Promoting Your Event

Use the MyPostings system to post your event to the applicable law school website calendars. You will need to log in with your MySanDiego username and password to access the form to post an event. The user guide provides step by step instructions.

You may use the law school's email service provider, BlueHornet, to send event invitations. Review the user guide and contact the Office of Communications for additional information.

SideBar is a weekly e-newsletter sent to all students every Monday morning during the academic year to promote events for the upcoming two weeks. Submissions must not exceed 55 words and must include a contact name and email address. Submissions must be emailed by noon Thursday for inclusion in the following week's newsletter.

The Docket

To streamline communications to our law school alumni, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations requests that you market your event to alumni primarily through the monthly newsletter, The Docket.

Event Newsletter

The event newsletter is a bi-monthly communications promoting events to our law school alumni. If you would like your event be included, please contact Event Services.

Law School Plasma Screens

You may publicize your event on the Warren Hall plasma screens by emailing Kay Manansala a single PowerPoint slide including the key event details, formatted to 18.5 x 9.5.

If you anticipate at least 50 attendees at your event, you may submit a request to post your event details on the university entrance marquees. Marquee policies and the online request form are available on the marquee web page.

Printed Pieces

If your budget allows for design fees, printing costs, postage and mail house fees, the Office of Communications can assist you with printed save-the-date cards, invitations and programs. Significant lead time is required for printed pieces. You may also print more simple and inexpensive programs using University Copy.

Legal Community Calendars

The San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) maintains a legal community calendar on its website. You may submit an online request to post a non-MCLE event to the calendar. Postings are made at the discretion of SDCBA.

For high profile events, consult with the Office of Communications to develop a media plan for your event.
