Refund Policy

All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing. Tuition payments will be returned if the cancellation is made before the program's tuition and fee deadline. Requests for partial refunds after the deadline will only be considered in cases of a significant medical and/or family emergency. These hardship requests must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation. Cases in which the student fails to secure entry into the country where the program is conducted or the student desires to pursue employment or any other activity will not constitute hardship. If a student borrows a federal loan and withdraws from the summer program, federal regulations may require that all, or a portion, of the loan funds be returned to the lender.

In the event that a student is eligible for a refund due to program cancellation, program termination or withdrawal by the refund deadline, the refund will be issued within twenty (20) days of the cancellation, termination or withdrawal.

Program Changes

The law school reserves the right to make changes to the program. Should any significant changes to the program occur, students will be advised of the changes and given the option to withdraw with a full refund.

Travel Warnings and Alerts

In the unlikely event that the U.S. State Department issues a Travel Warning or Alert covering the destination and dates of the program, the following refund policy will apply:

  • If the warning or alert is issued prior to the commencement of or during the course of the program, students will be given the opportunity to withdraw from the program with a full refund of all tuition and fees.

Cancellation and Termination

The law school reserves the right to cancel or terminate the program for any reason. The decision to cancel or terminate the program is made in situations which are deemed necessary to protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff and/or to ensure the integrity of the program. In the event that the program is canceled or terminated, Graduate and International Programs will inform applicants via email and will assist applicants in finding a similar program. In the event that the program is canceled or terminated, the following refund policy will apply:

  • If the program is canceled prior to the commencement of the program, students will be notified immediately and issued a full refund of all tuition and fees; or
  • If the program is terminated during the course of the program, students will be notified immediately, withdrawn from the program and issued a full refund of all tuition and fees.

Under no circumstances is the law school responsible for financial losses caused by travel arrangements and housing costs due to the cancellation or termination of the program.
