Adjunct Law Professor
Professor Wapner has an extensive professional history in the field of tax. She held various leadership roles at Qualcomm Incorporated, including Vice President of Tax Planning, Vice President of Tax & Trade, and Senior Director of Tax. During her tenure, she successfully implemented complex restructurings, US tax reform planning and significant M&A transactions as well as building and leading various teams such as International Tax, Tax Provision and Export Compliance. Before joining Qualcomm, she held a number of tax positions in the energy sector, working in diverse locations such as Houston, Los Angeles and Singapore. Professor Wapner is a member of the Board of Directors of City Ballet of San Diego. She received her BA from The Ohio State University, JD from Southwestern Law School and LLM (Taxation) from New York University School of Law. She is admitted to the State Bar of California.
