Francisco J. Flores is sector vice president of Production Engineering & Operations for Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, a premier provider of military aircraft, autonomous systems, aerospace structures, and next-generation solutions.
Joining Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in 2021, Mr. Flores is responsible for Operations, manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, manufacturing technology and automation, tooling, industrial engineering, production scheduling, and project management. Enthusiastic about the servant leadership philosophy, Mr. Flores is a hands-on executive interacting with a team responsible for providing predictable, repeatable processes, procedures, and tooling to maximize production capabilities. All focused on meeting or exceeding customer demands while achieving sector goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Mr. Flores has broad experience in aeronautics, engineering and manufacturing. Previously, he served as vice president of Manufacturing and Technical Operations for General Atomics, a manufacturer of remotely piloted aircraft systems, where he was accountable for advanced composites, avionics manufacturing, mechanical engineering and aircraft systems integration. Mr. Flores led the strategic development of manufacturing and capital planning, and lean manufacturing culture transformation. Prior to that, he was the director of Operations for BAE Systems, a commercial and defense Electronics Company, where he strategically grew site capability and infrastructure eightfold, while reducing costs by more than $12 million annually through six sigma and continuous improvement programs.
Mr. Flores holds a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey based in Monterrey, Mexico and a master’s in business administration from W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.
