An immersive experience

Elevate your academic journey

The Industry Scholars Program provides an immersive learning experience, offering scholars a broad exposure to various engineering industries through interactive workshops, site visits, mentorship opportunities and internships. Additionally, the program enhances professional development by teaching essential skills such as leadership, networking, interviewing, emotional intelligence and other competencies that are not typically covered in the standard curriculum. Scholars must be on campus for the given fall and spring semester; be able to commit to three meetings per semester; and have a willingness to actively engage in the program. Come connect with driven peers who share your ambition for success — it’s a whole lot of fun!

  • Currently a first-, second-or third-year engineering or computer science student
  • Seeking an internship and experience that aligns with your interests
  • Looking to build your professional network and connections

Industrial and Systems Engineering

"The Industry Scholars Program is an amazing example of how the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering is unique. Most students don't get the opportunity to listen and learn from real industry, it's a privilege to receive this exposure. This is a bridge that connects education and the real world, it's a significant program designed to network. I have created valuable relationships and now feel confident pursuing experiences that once felt unattainable and I am excited for what lies ahead in my career."
