LaTonya Gaither began her career with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Patuxent River, MD. She was placed into the Engineering Scientific Development Program (ESDP) working as an Industrial Engineer supporting Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Production Support Department (PSD). While working at COMFRC, she completed a 6-minth rotation at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego sustaining the F/A-18 Preventative Maintenance Inspection and High Flight Hour Program. In 2012, she successfully completed the Engineering and Science Development Program. Upon graduation, she permanently transitioned to FRCSW, where she is now the Branch Manager for Capabilities Planning and Sustainment Branch. LaTonya serves as the FRCSW Representative of the National 6.3.1.1 Capabilities, Operations Planning and Sustainment to aid in the process and procedure standardization of all FRCs.
LaTonya graduated cum laude with a BS in Industrial Engineering (IE) from North Carolina Agricultural Technical State University. She is currently Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt trained and working towards Department of Defense (DoD) and American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification. She is certified as a Supply Chain Technical Expert and Supply Chain Development Technical Expert. LaTonya was recognized in 2012 as Black Engineer of the Year for Modern Day Technology.
