Timothy Dougherty

Jerome's Furniture (Manufacturing)

Tim Dougherty holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s of engineering in healthcare systems from Lehigh University. He has spent most of his early career in the manufacturing industry and is currently the senior vice president of supply chain for Jerome’s Furniture, a San Diego local third generation family business. Dougherty has taught the manufacturing processes course at USD as an adjunct lecturer, including the transition to remote learning during the COVID shutdown. He has also led collaborations between Jerome’s Furniture and the ISyE department as a project sponsor for senior design project teams for several years.

Dougherty has two children in elementary school and dedicates time as the PTA president and a Poway Unified School District School-Site Council Chairman. Additionally, Dougherty is on the Board of Directors of the Rancho Penasquitos Planning Group and an executive officer of the Rancho Penasquitos Town Council.  Dougherty is honored to be part of this advisory board and believes in continually learning, teaching and applying engineering methods and technologies to real world challenges.
