Thomas (Tom) Lupfer received his BSEE from Purdue and his MA in Engineering and Economics from Oxford University, where he studied on a Marshall Scholarship. Lupfer is the founder and president of Clarity Design, which provides engineering and manufacturing services for products in medical, industrial and consumer markets. He is also the co-founder and president of Rehabit Health, which has developed technologies for helping stroke patients walk again. Lupfer holds eight patents, with several more applied for.
At the University of San Diego, Lupfer serves on the board of trustees, the executive advisory board and teaches embedded software development.
Lupfer’s wife, Margaret, is from Sydney, Australia and they have three adult children, John, Erin and Julie. He enjoys hiking, playing indoor soccer and reading.
